J. Anne Lamont - President and CEO

 

Anne has been President and CEO of Career Edge Organization since May, 2007.  Her involvement in Career Edge spans thirteen years, including seven years as a member of the board of directors and four years as Chair of the Board. 

Anne’s broad experience includes areas of public and financial sector policy, including advocacy and community engagement with the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, and interaction with all three levels of government, federal, provincial and municipal.  Her areas of interest have included promoting a vibrant and competitive Canadian financial services sector, financial literacy, corporate citizenship and social responsibility, diversity, employability, economic integration of skilled immigrants and consumer protection and education.

Her professional career in the financial sector includes over 25 years experience with RBC Financial Group in Canada and internationally and seven years in policy development with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions. At the time of her retirement from RBC in 2005 she was Vice President, Policy & Regulatory Affairs. Anne holds Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics & Psychology) and Bachelor of Education degrees from Queen’s University, and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. Anne has been an active volunteer in the non-profit sector both in Montreal and Toronto.

 

Donna Smith - Vice President

Donna joined Career Edge Organization in Spring 2005, bringing more than 30 years of senior management level experience in Human Resources and Operations with Bell Canada.

Prior to accepting her position at the Career Edge Organization, Donna held several senior level management positions at Bell Canada including Call Centre Revenue and Assets Recovery Operations, Sales & Marketing Support and leading process management re-engineering initiatives. As a Human Resources Professional, she was responsible for consulting to senior management in several business units and directing hiring and training activities nationally for all Bell Canada Consumer Call Centres including Bell Wireline, Bell Sympatico, Bell Mobility and ExpressVu.  Donna has conducted speaking engagements to national and international audiences on the design and implementation of leading edge e-learning and employee retention strategies. Donna holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a diploma in Advanced Human Resources and Strategic Planning from University of Toronto’s Rotman Executive School of Business.

 

Janice Rudkowski - Director, Marketing & Communications

Janice Rudkowski joined Career Edge Organization in October 2007 as the Director, Marketing & Communications. 

Her broad marketing background in the private sector includes valuable experience in Brand Management, Category Management, Licensing, Sales and Retail across a number of industry sectors including Consumer Packaged Goods, Toys and Consumer Health Care. With Janice's progressive 10 year + marketing career she brings a unique perspective with the ability to apply solid private sector business experience to the non-profit environment.  An active volunteer, her passion to give back to her community led her to re-direct her career into the not-for-profit sector.  She holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Ryerson University and an MBA from York University.

 

Anne MacPhee - Chief Financial Officer

Anne MacPhee joined Career Edge Organization in January 2009 as Chief Financial Officer. Anne is responsible for the finance, legal, technology and governance aspects of the organization and is the Corporate Secretary and Treasurer. 

Anne is a people oriented, values driven, progressive business leader with over 20 years experience in the public and private sectors. A leader of significant change in functional and broad operations initiatives, she can identify change opportunities and execute strategies to achieve desired outcomes. Anne’s experience and key skills include, strategic and business planning, forecasting and budgeting, managing to key performance indicators and change and project management. Anne has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors including not-for-profit and charitable organizations. Prior to joining Career Edge Organization, Anne was the National Director, Financial Management at cnib. Anne has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and an MBA from York University.
